PETALING JAYA: The Tanjung Piai by-election defeat is a resounding wake-up call from voters, says PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali .Addressing the many attacks on the leadership of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad after the worst defeat in a by-election for Pakatan Harapan since winning the Federal Government last year, Azmin said that Pakatan should be more committed to fulfilling its promises to the rakyat now.
He added that this is the time to unite and face a new reality, saying that the defeat is a challenge to each and every member and leader of Pakatan to prove that they can continue to work together as a team. He added that the Pakatan government will redouble its commitment and efforts to win the trust of the rakyat.
