SafetyCulture and Mr Anear would not disclose financial details of the company’s shift to profitability. Mr AnearHe said the company would likely register another loss this year, but the firm began breaking even in January.Despite the rallying call to break free from the funding cycle, SafetyCulture will continue to rely on the guidance and advice from the VC ecosystem.
Mr Anear, who counts Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar as another mentor, said he was not bothered by Ms Denholm’s workload. Mr Anear still thinks financial reporting obligations for companies of a certain size are at a competitive disadvantage and wants changes from the federal government.
