(Reuters) - American content creators on TikTok asked followers to subscribe to their channels on rival platforms like Meta-owned Instagram and Alphabet's YouTube after a federal appeals court ruled that the social media app could be banned if it is not sold to a U.S.-based company by Jan. 19.
PETALING JAYA: The auction of items belonging to entrepreneur Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman, better known as Datuk Seri Vida , originally scheduled for Dec 9, has been postponed, The Star's Malay language news portal mStar reports.
Samir Zainal, the lawyer representing Ah Design Communication, said that the postponement would allow the defendant to reassess whether the seized items are her personal property or belong to her company, Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd. Additionally, Samir said that discussions would be held with his client, who is also the plaintiff in the case, to decide whether to appeal the court's decision.
On Nov 25, approximately 727 items belonging to Datuk Seri Vida were seized from her three-storey bungalow in Meru Heights, Ipoh.
