Auburn senior Samantha Cerio's surgery took place Monday and lasted more than two hours but was 'an extreme success.'

"We know the road for full healing is going to be a long and difficult one, but we are confident that she’ll be able to make a complete recovery," Graba wrote on Twitter on Tuesday morning. An aerospace engineering major from Huntersville, North Carolina, Cerio was a two-time all-Southeastern Conference selection. She was also named the SEC co-scholar athlete of the year last month.
