It appears Videocardz has managed to get their hands on what it claims to be confirmed details of ASUS' upcoming ROG Ally X. The leakster site reports that the gaming handheld will indeed be shipping out with not only 24GB of LPDRR5X RAM, but double the battery capacity of the original Ally.

As per the initial rumours, the Ally X is set to ship out with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM running at a frequency of 7500MHz, up from the 16GB LPDDR5-6400 in the Ally 2023. Further, the battery is now 80Whr, up from the 40Whr battery of its predecessor. It's a significant increase and in line with the brand's promise of making up for the pitiful endurance of the first Ally, and one of the first gaming handheld that can boast having such a large capacity.

The screenshot of the specs summarised specs sheet also seems to confirm that the XG Mobile eGPU has been ditched, and it is place are two USB-C ports. Specifically, one USB4 and one USB-C 3.2 Gen2. Additionally, the storage capacity has been bumped up to 1TB from 512GB. More importantly, it appears ASUS has modified the internals to support the M.2 2280 form factor, which lays that particular rumour to rest.

The ASUS ROG Ally X is expected to make its debut at Computex this year, so we'll definitely be trying to get a hands on with it when we see it.
