How do I get my family member to stop inviting other people to social events?: Ask Yadi has the answer
Are your guests asking uninivited friends to join your party? What's a host or hostess to do? Ask Yadi has the answer. : My sister-in-law has the habit of always inviting other people anytime I invite her to do something. This isn’t something that she does only with me; anytime she is invited somewhere, she takes it as an opportunity to invite other friends and family.
For example, once she invited me and her other sister-in-law to a party. When we got there, she wasn’t even there yet, and the hosts had no idea who we were. She never told the host that she was bringing other people. I learned my lesson with that one, and now I always question when she invites me out.
Let her know that you are only allowed to bring one person or that you want to spend time with just her. She should respect that and not take it as a personal attack.
