Yadi Rodriguez, cleveland.comI like to think that I am a social person and have a good circle of friends. With summer and BBQ season here, I find that I am getting multiple invites to cook-outs and parties.
Is it OK for me to bring something anyway, so that at least I know there is something that I will be able to eat?Dietary restrictions and allergies are no laughing matter. They can potentially be dangerous for some people. Others may just choose to restrict their diet for personal or religious reasons.
If the host is insistent that you do not bring a sharable dish, then pack something for yourself. They shouldn’t take offense in this knowing your limitations.
