PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim menyempurnakan proses lafaz syahadah seorang lelaki yang dikenali sebagai Andrew Vinals untuk memeluk Islam selepas menyampaikan khutbah Jumaat di Pusat Kebudayaan Islam New York , New York, Amerika Syarikat, hari ini.
“Usai solat Jumaat, saya diminta komuniti Islam di sini untuk menyempurnakan proses lafaz syahadah saudara Andrew Vinals yang berhasrat memeluk agama Islam,” katanya menerusi satu hantaran di Facebook. Ahli Parlimen Tambun tersebut berada di New York untuk menyertai Perhimpunan Agung Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu ke-78.
Malah, beliau turut menyeru umat Islam untuk mengukuhkan perpaduan dan menonjolkan hikmah serta memperoleh maklumat dan pengetahuan.
