Anwar made these remarks at the 'Manifestasi Tiga Seni' event organized by the Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka, celebrating works in poetry, painting, and music.
PETALING JAYA: Seni memainkan peranan penting dalam menyatukan dan membangunkan bangsa bahkan ia perlu berkembang bebas bagi memperkasa suara rakyat dalam membentuk masa hadapan negara.
Justeru kata beliau menegaskan bahawa seni harus bergerak bebas walaupun bersifat kritikal terhadap kekuasaan dalam usaha membangun bangsa yang maju. “Semangat negara yang madani menganjur serta memupuk nilai daya cipta dan kreativiti, dan kita sebagai masyarakat harus menghayati dan meraikannya agar negara ini berjaya dan melonjak,” katanya dalam Facebook hari ini.
