ACFC is still searching for its first win as it heads to Seattle to play OL Reign for its fifth game of the NWSL preseason tournament
The start of the NWSL regular season is within sight for Angel City Football Club.
The first meeting turned quickly in the first half as Angel City’s Savannah McCaskill was sent off with a red card. OL Reign would prevail 3-1. “Forming this culture within our group, obviously the results haven’t been there, but it’s through those games that we can really experience together and learn what identity we want to have as a group.”
“I’m glad these games are hitting us now and these results are coming now so that we can go through these now and be ready for the NWSL season,” Gilles said. “I can’t really tell you tangible growth, but in terms of habits, identity as a group, identity as a team, reactions, all of those things we can see as a group off the field, maybe not as fans watching, but game-by-game these are all things being built.
