Along Cham , whose real name is Muhammad Nizamudin Ahmad, 42, describes his experience during his month-long imprisonment at Sungai Buloh Prison as a 'wash' to cleanse his heart. He said this when met by reporters after being released on bail at the Sepang Magistrate's Court this morning on two charges of possessing and consuming drugs. Along Cham , when met, couldn't hold back his tears of gratitude upon his release.
As soon as he was released on bail, Along Cham was seen hugging his mother, wife, son, and fellow artistes, such as Angah Raja Lawak and Didie Alias. Along Cham, when met outside the court, said he was grateful that Allah SWT had given him a way out despite the impossible happening to him. 'I thank my team of lawyers. Today, what seemed impossible for Allah SWT to happen, He has given an answer. 'I will try my best to clear my name. I consider this a test and trial for me to enter the 'wash' to cleanse my heart. Allah SWT knows what is best for me. 'I would like to thank my family who knows my true self. All my fans who have prayed for me and thank you also to my haters because I have heard many slanders,' he said. He admitted that his career was now affected and delayed, including entertainment projects with his fellow artiste, Didie Alias. Asked about his plans after this, Along Cham said he planned to release a film about his true story. 'Many people don't know that when I stepped in (to prison), some were happy and applauded, but I surrendered completely and believed that Allah knows everything,' he said. Meanwhile, his wife, Afreena, when met by reporters, said she felt grateful that her husband could finally return home to her and their children. She said that after this, her husband would return to his normal routine, including continuing his artistic work. 'Thank you...thank you Alhamdulillah. This is what I want. Since December 20, I could feel he would be coming home. Alhamdulillah, today he can come home. Before this, my feelings were mixed and nervous. I didn't know what to expect. 'He deserves to come out. His place is at home. His place is not in prison,' she said
