The reintroduction of alcohol restrictions has shown an early positive impact on the Alice Springs community.
Youth disturbances have dropped by 36 per cent since January and alcohol-related violence is down 27 per cent, according to NewsCorp statistics.
Northern Territory Police Commissioner Jamie Chalker told Sky News Australia criminal activity in the past few months has decreased in the streets. “We’ve certainly seen a decline in family domestic violence since these alcohol restrictions,” Mr Chalker said.
