Biden was forced to cancel a planned trip to Canberra and Sydney earlier this year because of emergency US debt ceiling negotiations.
Anthony Albanese will travel to Washington for his first prime ministerial visit, including a prized state dinner, in late October at the invitation of US President Joe Biden.
“Australia and the United States have a longstanding relationship, based on deep friendship and trust and a shared commitment to peace, the rule of law and the values of democracy. Albanese’s office said the leaders would discuss “ambitious climate action and the transition to clean energy” in the meeting.
