After freak storm, clear skies a welcome relief in Kiulu. FMTNews Achin
KIULU: A freak storm wreaked havoc at Sekolah Kebangsaan Malangang Baru yesterday afternoon, with strong winds overturning the polling centre’s medical tent.
Fortunately, the canopy was put up again this morning before voters arrived, according to an election worker stationed there. “People were lining up since 7am this morning before the gates opened at 8am. So far, so good. Everyone is orderly, we don't have any symptomatic voters,” Achin Marudu told FMT at the polling centre for the Kiulu seat today.
“I'm just a little worried about the weather changing later this evening. But attendance has been good. Everyone has been following the SOP,” he said of the polling station where 824 voters are on the roster.
