A 75-year-old man tragically passed away while visiting a Ramadan bazaar in Kupang, Kedah. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 2nd, and authorities have confirmed that the man's death was due to natural causes.
A 75-year-old man named Zainon Said tragically died while visiting a Ramadan bazaar in Kupang, Kedah , on Sunday, March 2nd. According to his son-in-law, Zaishamsolazman Che Teh, Zainon arrived at the bazaar in Taman Seri Harapan around 4 pm on a motorcycle, parking safely before entering. As he walked past several stalls, he suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness. Bystanders quickly rushed to his aid, but despite their efforts, health officers arrived to confirm his death.
Zaishamsolazman explained that Zainon had a history of heart problems and had not been feeling well in the days leading up to the incident, although he hadn't displayed any significant changes in his condition.District police chief Supt Azmi Mokhtar revealed that Zainon also suffered from other chronic illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. He had recently been hospitalized at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar due to severe intestinal bleeding, spending a week in the intensive care unit. Supt Azmi confirmed that investigations found no signs of foul play at the scene. Zainon's body was subsequently taken to Kampung Banggol Asam Jawa, Pulai for burial.
