A seven-year-old boy from Kampung Beserah, Kuantan, Pahang drowned in the adult pool of a condominium in Puchong, Selangor, on Sunday. The boy was on vacation with his family when the incident occurred. Police received a report from Hospital Sultan Idris Shah in Serdang, informing them of an unconscious child patient. The boy was pronounced dead before reaching the hospital. Investigations revealed that the boy entered the adult pool without his family's knowledge. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as drowning. The case is being investigated under Section 31 (1) of the Child Act 2001.

Beliau berkata, pihaknya menerima laporan pada pukul 2.30 petang daripada Hospital Sultan Idris Shah, Serdang memaklumkan menerima seorang pesakit kanak-kanak dalam keadaan tidak sedarkan diri.“Siasatan mendapati, mangsa bersama ahli keluarganya telah mandi di kolam renang itu sekitar pukul 11.30 pagi dan tanpa pengetahuan keluarga, mangsa telah masuk ke kolam renang dewasa sebelum lemas,” katanya ketika dihubungi.
