MANILA, Philippines — Financial assistance worth P3,000 has been distributed to 600 oil spill victims in Oriental Mindoro, according to the office of House Speaker Martin Romualdez on Sunday,

The handing out of the cash aid was done through a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development as well as the office of Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie.The P3,000 aid came from the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations program of the DSWD. Apart from this aid, Romualdez’s office also gave the province’s first congressional district led by Rep. Arnan Panaligan a P500,000 calamity fund.
