Menteri Kerja Raya Sabah itu berkata pihaknya terutama Jabatan Air Negeri Sabah sedang berusaha mengurangkan angka itu dengan melaksanakan beberapa langkah termasuk meningkatkan keberkesanan sistem bekalan. “Cabaran kita jumlah permintaan tinggi tetapi ada pula kes NRW antaranya disebabkan kecurian air yang memerlukan penguatkuasaan, kita juga alami cabaran tenaga kerja dan keberkesanan sistem , perlu mekanisme dan gerakan bersepadu untuk tangani masalah tersebut
