Kota Kinabalu: The Government can effectively counter the activities of foreign-licensed tourism operators by conducting random checks on their engagements in restaurants and tour buses.

“The Government must ensure that at least 50 per cent of the services they provide involve local manpower and products,” said the Chairman of Sabah Tour and Travel Agents Association , Dato’ Seri Winston Liaw.“Tax collection should also be closely monitored,” he added.
