It’s not uncommon to come across age-gap couples in Malaysia these days, especially within the entertainment or business circles. Recently, former Four Golden Princess member, Samantha Ee Kai Chee , celebrated her fifth wedding anniversary with her husband, Datuk Tai Huat Chang . She even invited friends and family to the happy celebration.
According to Astro television host Darren Ch’ng , Datuk Tai had been single for over three decades before meeting Samantha. He even travelled to Japan, where she was studying, to declare his love and waited for her every day as she went to school. Darren's Facebook post, featuring his interview with the couple, was heartwarming - to say the least.
Netizens flooded the TV host’s Facebook post with blessings. One netizen commented, “True love, such genuine gestures and actions would touch any girl.” Meanwhile, some left humorous remarks, “Even in their seventies or eighties, they can still be sweet and display their affection.” However, there were also comments suggesting that “Samantha and Darren look like a young couple taking pictures with their in-laws.
