In an interview with television host Darren Ch'ng Boon Kiat, Tai shared that he had been single for over three decades before meeting Ee. While Ee only considered him “a good friend” at the time, Tai remained resilient in his pursuit of the former Four Golden Princess member.“I’m very thick-skinned, so I kept pursuing her,” he said before adding, “I just wanted to win her over.”Tai’s sincerity touched Ee, and they eventually started a relationship.
