A foreign tourist suffered a head injury after falling from the 7th floor of a shopping mall in Persiaran Gurney, Penang, yesterday (February 5).

A foreign tourist suffered a head injury after falling from the 7th floor of a shopping mall in Persiaran Gurney, Penang, yesterday .

According to a report by Harian Metro, the Timur Laut District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad, shared that his department received a call in regards to this incident at about 1:55pm. “Initial investigations found that the incident occurred at 1:54pm and the victim was a 25-year-old foreign male tourist. The man involved is believed to have suffered a head injury from falling from the 7th floor of the building,”

“The victim was sent to the Penang Hospital by ambulance in a semi-conscious state, for further treatment,” he said.Prior to this, images and videos of this incident had gone viral online, showcasing the tourist lying on the ground of the shopping mall after he had broken through the Chinese New Year decorations on the ground floor during his fall.
