25 motorcyclists from Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei will traverse over 2,000 bends spanning 1,425 kilometers through the 'Konvoi 2,000 Selekoh Malaysia' program. The journey, starting today, will cover Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang, Perak, Kelantan, and Negeri Sembilan, culminating at Malaysia's Tourism Information Centre (MaTiC) on February 11th. The initiative aims to attract new tourists to Malaysia and boost the tourism sector in line with the 'Visit Malaysia Year 2026' campaign.
KUALA LUMPUR: Seramai 25 penunggang motosikal dari negara ini serta Singapura dan Brunei akan menempuh lebih 2,000 selekoh jalan sepanjang 1,425 kilometer menerusi programMenteri Perladangan dan Komoditi, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani berkata, kesemua peserta akan menjelajah Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang, Perak, Kelantan dan Negeri Sembilan dengan destinasi terakhir mereka adalah di Pusat Pelancongan Malaysia , Jalan Ampang, di sini pada 11 Februari ini.
“Pelaksanaan program ini adalah sebagai tanda sokongan Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha , Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya, Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot kepada ‘bikers’. Beliau yang juga Ahli Parlimen Titiwangsa berkata demikian ketika merasmikan Pelepasan Konvoi 2,000 Selekoh Malaysia di Kampung Baru, di sini, hari ini.
Selain itu, program itu juga menawarkan pengalaman unik meneroka kawasan luar bandar di enam negeri Semenanjung Malaysia sambil mengenali budaya tempatan dan menyokong sosioekonomi setempat.
