"After the first session, everything felt normal. But two days later, I started feeling pain at the nape of my neck. I thought it was just a normal post-massage ache , so I took some painkillers and continued with my routine," she explained in a Facebook post in November, addressing her absence from work in the month before her death.
However, her condition continued to deteriorate. She began experiencing tingling sensations in her fingers, hot and cold flushes, and increasing numbness that spread to her chest. Thailand Department of Health Service Support deputy director-general Arkom Praditsuwan said officials would investigate whether the massage shop that Chayada visited was licenced to provide the service.
