A female singer died on December 8 after getting massages, which included 2 neck massages, at a massage parlour in Udon Thani province.
According to Bangkok Post, Chayada Prao-hom from Guitar Records passed away after a 3rd massage session she received, believed to have been caused by a blood infection and brain swelling.The deceased’s boyfriend said that after Chayada’s performance on October 5, she told him she had a backache and asked him to take her to a Thai massage shop.
Bangkok Post also reported that in a Facebook post on November 6, the singer reassured her fans who were concerned about her health, saying she had visited the same massage shop 3 times over the past month.On her first 2 visits, she was treated in the same room by the same masseuse, who gave her “a neck twist“, but on the 3rd visit, she was seen by a different masseuse.
2 weeks after the 2nd session, the pain and stiffness spread so much that she couldn’t even turn over in bed.On her 3rd visit, she met a masseuse with a “heavy hand” that left her with swelling and bruises all over her body for a week. 2 weeks after that, she couldn’t lift her right arm, and by the time she made her post, she could use less than 50% of her body.
