PUTRAJAYA: A total of 18 roads here will be closed for the National Day rehearsals from Sunday to Tuesday (Aug 27 to 29).
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said the roads would be closed from 5am till 11am.
"The rehearsals will be held on Aug 27 and Aug 28 while the full dress rehearsal will be on Aug 29," he told a press conference at KL police headquarters on Friday . Comm Allaudeen hoped the public, especially those living and working at the administrative centre to be mindful of the road closures.On Merdeka eve, Comm Allaudeen said no roads would be closed at the venues involved - Dataran Merdeka, KLCC and Bukit Bintang areas.
"For Dataran Merdeka, visitors will have to enter from Jalan Tun Perak direction, from 5pm onwards, and use Jalan Gereja to exit.Fireworks displays are planned at Dataran Merdeka and KLCC, he said.
