12-year-old boy killed, 20-year-old man arrested in suspected DUI crash in Oceanside [Breaking]
A 12-year-old boy was killed Tuesday night in Oceanside when a suspected drunken driver slammed into the car he was riding in, police said.
The Fourth of July crash occurred about 11 p.m. at the intersection of North Meyers Street and Surfrider Way.Oceanside police said an officer had been flagged down about three blocks away and alerted to a speeding vehicle that had its lights off. The boy who was killed was a passenger in the car that was hit, police said. The driver of that car and a second passenger suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to a hospital, police said.
