UPDATE: Police say 12-year-old child was killed in Oceanside two-vehicle collision
Oceanside Police told ABC 10News the crash happened late Tuesday night on North Meyers Street and Surfrider Way, and it involved a white Volkswagen and a dark-colored Nissan Altima.ABC 10News learned four people were taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Police said they believe speed and DUI were factors in the incident and the driver of the Altima is expected to be arrested in connection with the crash.

Arrest made in Denton shooting, victim in critical condition - KRLD NewsDenton police are still investigating a shooting that left a child critically wounded. Investigators say it happened Tursday night at a mobile home park on Teasley Lane on Denton's south side. Police got several calls about shots being fired. When police arrived they found one victim who was flown to the hospital in critical condition. Police have arrested 39 year old Travis Rollins who they say he took off after the shooting but was picked up during a traffic stop in Duncanville. Duncanville police called Denton police after learning he was wanted for the shooting. No word yet on what led to the shooting and we still don't know the exact age of the child shot as police are only saying the victim is a juvenille. Rollins has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond has been set at $100,000. GettyImages
