The Xiaomi 17 Series is now available for pre-order in Malaysia, with the smartphone company continuing its collaboration with German camera-maker Leica.
has signed a second reservation agreement with Mitsubishi Power , Ltd for the procurement of two additional state-of-the-art M701JAC gas turbine s and gas turbine generators. It announced in a statement the units are intended for deployment at a new combined-cycle power plant in the northern region, with an expected generation capacity of 1,400MW.
The M701JAC is Mitsubishi Power’s latest air-cooled gas turbine, designed for high thermal efficiency, fuel flexibility and lower emissions through improved combustion technology. The new reservation comes following the October 2025 reservation of two similar units for Malakoff’s recent new 1,400MW gas-fired power plant in the southern region. "Securing four M701JAC gas turbines enhances our ability to develop new high-efficiency combined-cycle power plants and will substantially increase our overall generation capacity, bringing us closer to our target of achieving 10,000 MW by 2031. "The signing of the second RA forms part of our commitment to ensuring sufficient capacity as electricity consumption continues to grow.
