European states accuse Russia of trying to erase memory of Stalin's crimes after monument disappears PETALING JAYA: A raid by Bukit Aman on a suspected illegal meat processing factory has led to the arrest of seven individuals.
Wildlife Crime Control Bureau/Special Investigation Intelligence Bukit Aman commander Datuk Mohd Zaki Ashar said the raid was conducted in Skudai, Johor Baru, on April 24. Six Nepalese men and a Malaysian woman were arrested following the discovery of 1,058.1kg of pork carcasses worth around RM63,486.
“An inspection of the premises revealed frozen pork carcasses stored in a cold room with questionable slaughter documentation, suspected not to have been slaughtered at a facility approved or licensed by the Veterinary Services Department. “The premises owner, a Malaysian woman, was arrested for illegally employing foreign workers,” he said. The foreign suspects, who are also facing immigration related offences, have been handed over to the Johor Baru North police headquarters.
