A viral video from December 25th showcases a lorry on a highway with a missing rear wheel, held in place by only one bolt. A concerned citizen stopped the lorry in the emergency lane after witnessing the dangerous situation. The driver initially resisted stopping and even attempted to overtake the citizen. A loose wheel from a large lorry caused a chain reaction, involving a bus, a truck, a Perodua Bezza, and a Toyota Estima. Seven people, including a child, died in the crash, while 33 others were injured. The Road Transport Department (JPJ) issued a statement on December 24th, expressing concern over accidents involving commercial vehicles and vowing to take strict action to enforce road safety.
