PETALING JAYA: A dispute over a parking space turned violent when a man allegedly slashed another with a knife at the Seri Melaka Flats in Cheras, leaving the victim with a three-centimetre wound on his left hand.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Datuk Paduka Seri Awang Halbi Mohd Yussof; Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Datuk Paduka Seri Setia Awang Salim Besar; and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Datuk Seri Paduka Mohd Tashim Pengiran Hassan were also in attendance.In the Brunei-Muara District, the main venues are the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan; Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Mentiri; Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Jerudong; Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Serusop; Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Sengkurong; Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Sungai Kebun; Setia Ali Mosque in Pekan Muara; and Lambak Kanan Resettlement Mosque. In the Belait District, the event will be held at Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait; Kampong Pandan National Housing Scheme Mosque in Kuala Belait; and Pekan Seria Mosque. In the Tutong District, it will take place at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong, while in Temburong District, it will be held at Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Pekan Bangar. The public is invited to attend mosques, suraus and places of worship nationwide to perform the mass Zohor prayer, recite Surah Yaasiin and offer the Doa Kesyukuran in conjunction with the 42nd National Day celebration beginning at 11.30am. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
