Jenggo FT wins Jonathan Yasin Cup 9-A-Side Football Tournament

Jenggo FT claimed the championship title and a RM3,000 cash prize at the Jonathan Yasin Cup 9-A-Side Football Tournament organized by Sinarut Football Club in Ranau.

RANAU : Jenggo FT emerged as champions of the Jonathan Yasin Cup 9-A-Side Football Tournament organised by Sinarut Football Club near here, recently. Jenggo FT secured a handsome victory after presenting an excellent performance, thereby bringing home with them a cash prize of RM3,000 along with a medal and a trophy.

AdvertisementMassa FT X Kickers emerged as the runners-up by taking home RM1,500, while joint third place went to Sinarut Team and Matra Mix who each received RM800 along with a medal and a trophy. Meanwhile, Leopole Alfonso from Jenggo FT was named the Best Player, while his teammate, Agustinus Mohd. Hassan, received the Best Goalkeeper Award.

Teams from outside the district participating in the tournament were Jenggo FT , Massa FT X Kickers , Kesatria , ONID FT and Lamasia , who managed to increase the intensity of the competition throughout the tournament. Advertisement For the Ranau local team category, a total of 14 teams competed including Sinarut Team, Matra Mix, Sinar Villa, Liwagu FC, Tona FC, Malinsau FC, Ranau JAF FT, Sipkan FC, Poskop FC, Nomad FT, R&J FT, Kibara FC, Tinatak FT and KBKPS, making a total of 19 teams vying for the championship.

The tournament was held in full swing for two days from May 1-2 at the Sinarut Baru Field here, thus further stimulating the development of community football in the district.
