KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — Police are hunting for suspects involved in a house burglary in Taman Melawati, Gombak, near here, with an estimated loss of RM800,000 after the incident went viral on social media Threads since yesterday.

Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Khairul Anuar Khalid said the incident occurred at a house in Jalan I-Satu, Taman Melawati, when the victim returned home at about 11.30pm on Thursday to find the house ransacked. He said the police also found three fingerprints for further investigation.

“Further checks found that several pieces of jewellery and watches worth about RM800,000 were missing,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
