The Kudat Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) received the case under the Control of Supplies Act 1961 from Company C of the 16th Battalion GOF Kudat on Thursday.
KUDAT : A total of 18 drums, each with a capacity of 200 litres and filled with petrol, were found floating at the river mouth of Kampung Pagason in Pitas by the General Operations Force Kudat .

AdvertisementKudat KPDN enforcement chief Nazatul Shima Karim said the case involved an ownerless seizure and a scheduled controlled goods exhibit comprising 3,600 litres of petrol estimated to be worth RM7,164.
She said the activity was believed to have been carried out in a remote area to mislead authorities and conceal the smuggling operation from detection.
