Microsoft has confirmed that its gaming division is developing a next-generation Xbox console, currently code-named Project Helix, signaling a new phase for the company's gaming hardware strategy.
BUKIT MERTAJAM: Two female employees of a 24-hour childcare centre have been remanded for seven days to assist investigations into the death of a four-month-old boy at the centre at Seberang Jaya Hospital on Monday .
The remand order for the women, both aged 22, was issued by Magistrate Roshayati Radellah following a police application at the Bukit Mertajam Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday Dressed in purple detention uniforms and handcuffed, they were seen attempting to shield their faces from the media. It was reported that the state police chief Comm Datuk Azizee Ismail, said that police have opened a murder investigation into the infant’s death. The baby, identified as Hayl Haarith Mohd Syafaeez, was rushed to the emergency department at about 4am after he was sent to the childcare centre the night before. It is understood that the baby's mother, a 30-year-old nurse, was working the night shift at the hospital. Doctors performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for about an hour in an attempt to revive the infant but he was later pronounced dead. The childcare centre operates 24 hours a day to support hospital staff on duty. The facility is monitored by supervisors and is equipped with closed-circuit television cameras. The infant had only recently been sent to the childcare centre after his mother returned to work following her confinement period.The father, Mohd Syafaeez Mat Liki, 35, said he would not forgive those responsible for his son’s death.
