Cloakwork has teamed up with UNIQLO for the UTme! Safety Match Series, turning his signature street-style visuals into wearable T-shirt designsAt the heart of the collection is a simple but meaningful symbol: a matchbox logo Inspired by Malaysia's long-standing match-making craft and the legacy of the Kelantan Match Factory, it's more than just a design choice for Cloakwork .
The idea behind the matchbox logo stemmed from the act of lighting a match,"which to me represents hope," he shared in a video.
"If this collection can spark anything, I want it to remind young creatives that our stories, our visions, our heritage, they're powerful," he shared. For Cloakwork, seeing his work move beyond walls and into everyday fashion feels like a natural evolution of street culture "Street art has always belonged to the people. Seeing it move from a wall to something people wear everyday, makes it more alive," he added.
