THE Four Points by Sheraton Johor Baru has been officially opened by Marriot International, marking the brand’s debut in Bandar Seri Alam and adding a new chapter to the city’s growing hospitality landscape.
The opening underscores Bandar Seri Alam’s rise as a township that blends education, industry and residential growth. With universities, industrial zones and established communities, the area is increasingly attractive to both business and leisure travellers. Owned by SKS Group, the 150-room property is strategically located near Johor’s eastern industrial district, including Pasir Gudang and Tanjung Langsat, positioning it as a convenient base for business travellers.General manager Kenneth Priyantha said the hotel aims to balance international standards with local warmth. "With its convenient location, comfortable rooms and flexible meeting facilities, the hotel is well positioned to serve the needs of corporate travellers visiting Johor’s eastern industrial districts," he noted. The property offers a mix of twin, king and three-bedroom duplex rooms, with premium categories featuring coffee machines, welcome drinks and private balconies. Dining is centred on The Mesh, an all-day restaurant with live cooking stations and alfresco seating, complemented by The Mesh Bar, which serves coffee, cocktails and craft beers. Facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre, swimming pool, event spaces, and the Wau Merak Grand Ballroom, one of the largest in Bandar Seri Alam, which spans over 1,100sq m with a capacity of up to 800 guests, while additional meeting rooms cater to smaller gatherings. To celebrate its launch, Four Points by Sheraton Johor Baru is offering limited-time packages until April 30, with stays valid through May 30. Rates start from RM338+ per night for the Stay & Rise package, which includes breakfast for two, while the Stay & Dine package adds daily dining credit. As Johor Baru strengthens its role as a gateway city linking Malaysia and Singapore, the new hotel aims to provide travellers and event organisers with a reliable, welcoming destination in the eastern corridor.
