Myanmar sends 121 workers to South Korea under EPS system between March 10–25

KUALA LUMPUR: Two individuals from the Wangsa Maju Federal Territory Residents' Representative Council (MPPWP) have been ordered to immediately vacate their positions following a viral video alleging they solicited protection money from a business premises.

YANGON: Myanmar sent a total of 121 workers to South Korea under the Employment Permit System between March 10 and 25, according to sources. On March 10, 17 service workers—seven men and 10 women—arrived at Incheon International Airport via a Korean Air flight under the Government Overseas Employment Agency programme.

The following day, March 11, 73 workers—72 from the manufacturing sector and one from agriculture—arrived via Thai Airways. A returning worker also arrived on March 12 via Thai Airways. On March 25, another group of 30 workers—29 from manufacturing and one from construction—reached Incheon International Airport on a Thai Airways flight. Upon arrival, the Labour Attaché from the Myanmar Embassy in Seoul welcomed the workers and briefed them on important guidelines.
