The Teras system, the brainchild of deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar, will support the party's election campaign operations.
PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar at the launch of the Teras election campaign operations system in Petaling Jaya today. KUALA LUMPUR: An electronic election campaign system using artificial intelligence was introduced by PKR today to improve the party's election preparedness and efficiency ahead of the general election.
PKR said the Teras system, the brainchild of deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar, was developed to support the party's entire campaign system, from voter data management to field work and targeted communications. The data-driven system was designed to last beyond one election cycle and continue to survive beyond individual or leadership transitions, the party said in a statement.
More than 1,000 PKR members attended the launch of the Teras election system at the community hall in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, today. PKR said pilot tests conducted last month in two locations showed strong potential in mapping voter sentiment, although improvements are still needed in aspects such as automatic data verification.
The system also showed a high level of responsiveness during the test, with the ability to quickly address technical issues, thus allowing campaign managers to focus more on strategic planning and fieldwork rather than administrative matters.
