IPOH : The effectiveness of the National Family Love Policy will be measured through benchmarks such as the Family Wellbeing Index , says Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri . The Women, Family and Community Development Minister said assessments would be conducted every two years to monitor the progress of the policy.
“This is the family policy for 2026 to 2030. We are committed to ensuring Malaysian families remain strong, resilient, and protected against future challenges,” she said. Nancy added that the policy adopts a life-cycle approach covering pre-marriage, family formation, parenthood, and the senior citizen phase to ensure every stage of life receives appropriate attention. She was speaking at a press conference after the launch of the DKKN and the Jelajah Sejahtera Madani - Skim Insurans Kesejahteraan Rakyat by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Sultan Azlan Shah Ministry of Health Training Institute in Hulu Kinta on Saturday .“We have now moved forward to develop a policy that is more modern and better suited to current circumstances,” she said, adding that the framework aims to ensure clear and focused implementation.
