KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Industrial Development and Research Department director Tseu Kei Yue, has been charged with 20 counts of abetment of his staff in corruption-related offences at the Kota Kinabalu Special Corruption Court.
She set bail at RM30,000 with a RM10,000 deposit, and ordered the accused to report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission office in Kota Kinabalu every two months, surrender his passport, and refrain from contacting prosecution witnesses. The charges, framed under Section 109 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 165, alleged that Tseu, as director, abetted several DIDR staff members in receiving valuable items and cash from companies linked to their official duties. Among the items listed in the charge sheets were washer-dryers worth RM4,999 each, mobile phone units valued between RM6,100 and RM7,100, phones, laptops, tablets, gym equipment, car suspension parts, and cash payments up to RM5,000.
