Malaysia's National Library (PNM) continues to enhance the role of rural libraries as inclusive, dynamic spaces for knowledge-sharing and community activities. With 506 operational libraries nationwide, these centers serve as lifelong learning hubs, social gathering spots, and platforms for intellectual development. Over 50,615 reading promotion programs in 2025 attracted more than 1.4 million participants, proving their relevance in fostering a knowledgeable and competitive society. The initiative aligns with the government's goal of cultivating a reading culture by 2030, supported by the Ministry of National Unity.
