Vietnam to release nearly 10,000 prisoners, including foreigners, to mark parliamentary elections success HYDERABAD, India : India has signed a deal with Vietnam to sell BrahMos missiles in its second sale to a South-East Asian nation after the Philippines.
The matter was disclosed by Defence Ministry secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on Saturday .
"My understanding is that with both Indonesia and with Vietnam, the deal is in the final stages. For Vietnam, I understand that it has already been signed. Probably not publicly announced, but it's already been signed," he said. It has supplied the shore-based anti-ship missiles to the Philippines under a 2022 deal between BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited and the Department of National Defence of the Philippines.
