LONDON, April 15 (Reuters) - Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said he was hugely grateful to his players for the boost they had given the club after a gritty 1-0 aggregate win over Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday earned them a place in the Champions League semi-finals.
SUNGAI PETANI: There were no disruptions in public service delivery following the implementation of work from home policy for federal civil servants, says Public Service director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz.
“The work from home arrangement is going smoothly and media reports also indicate that its implementation has not encountered any problems. It has not affected services provided. “However, for a clearer picture of its impact, we need some time, perhaps a week, when more comprehensive data can be gathered to assess its effectiveness,” he said, Bernama reported. Wan Ahmad Dahlan was speaking to reporters after attending a “meeting with Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul” programme. The WFH arrangement for federal civil servants started on Wednesday, as part of the government’s response to the ongoing energy crisis following the Middle East conflict. Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar had said that up to 200,000 civil servants would be involved in the arrangement. On the programme, he said it provided a platform for leaders to engage with civil servants and share their experiences. “It is hoped that this sharing will serve as guidance for civil servants in carrying out their entrusted responsibilities,” he said. Wan Ahmad Dahlan said the relaxed conversational approach adopted in the programme would help civil servants better understand the government’s direction and appreciate the themes of leadership, identity, impartiality and professionalism it carried.“For example, energy-saving measures are not merely about compliance, but a manifestation of responsibility in managing public resources prudently,” he said.
