DUNGUN : Four family members, including a 10-year-old girl, who were killed in a five-vehicle crash on Jalan Johor Bahru-Ayer Hitam in Simpang Renggam, Johor on Monday , were laid to rest on Tuesday morning.

Mohd Aiman Mohd Rashid, 36; his wife Nor Azlina Abd Latif, 33; her mother Semek Mat Soh, 73; and Mohd Aiman’s niece Nur Airish Syifa Sidek, 10, were buried in a single grave at the Bandar Al-Muktafi Billah Shah Muslim Cemetery here at 9.25am Earlier, the bodies arrived at Sultan Mahmud Bandar Al-Muktafi Billah Shah Mosque at 8.35 am for funeral prayers after being brought from Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajah Khalsom in Kluang, Johor, where post-mortem procedures were conducted on Monday night.

In the 1.16pm incident on Monday, Mohd Aiman, who lived and worked at an oil palm plantation in Felda Ulu Sedili, Johor, was believed to have been on his way home after attending a family gathering in Telok Emas, Melaka. The crash is believed to have occurred when a luxury car lost control and entered the opposite lane before colliding with the car carrying the family, as well as three other vehicles.
