KOTA KINABALU: Police are seeking the public’s help to track down suspects who allegedly threw paint and vandalised two business premises here more than a week ago. Kota Kinabalu acting OCPD Supt Syed Lot Syed Ab Rahman said according to the reports lodged, the first incident happened at the Api-Api commercial centre while the second was at Kg Air .
“Both premises were found to have been hit with red paint during the night, based on CCTV recordings,” he said in a statement, adding that the suspects have yet to be identified. He said statements have been taken from the complainant with the case being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief that causes loss or damage. “Anyone with information is urged to come forward to assist in the probes,” said Supt Syed Lot, adding that stern action will be taken against the perpetrators. Earlier, two individuals, aged 36 and 29, had lodged separate reports after finding red paint on both their premises on Jan 15.
