MORE families are paying closer attention to the daily care and quality of life of their elderly loved ones as Malaysia’s population ages. In response to this growing need, SKGV Day Care Centre says it is providing a safe and supportive daytime environment for senior citizens , supported by AI-assisted exercise equipment and health assessment systems.
“Services include daily living assistance, health monitoring, physical training and social activities,” it said in a statement. All programmes are planned and carried out by trained caregivers and a professional healthcare team, it added. SKGV Day Care said it also uses AI-assisted exercise training to help seniors maintain muscle strength and improve balance. The centre says it encourages seniors to stay active and socially engaged, while giving family members peace of mind as they manage work and family commitments.
To raise awareness about elderly health management, SKGV Day Care will hold an Open Day on Sunday , from 2pm to 4pm. Free health screenings and activities will be offered during the event. These include balance and fall risk assessments, blood glucose and blood pressure checks, a health talk on sarcopenia, a creative exercise session, and a guided tour of the centre.
Organisers say the event will give participants a better understanding of their own or their loved ones’ health conditions. They also hope families will learn practical ways to manage and reduce potential health risks through early prevention and ongoing care. Follow us on our official
