A six-year-old boy with autism suffered a horrific injury when his ear was bitten off by a horse at an agro farm in Seremban, Malaysia. The boy's father, Suhaimi Mohd Rafi, explained that his family had visited the farm for a fun day out and his son, who was excited about seeing the horses, wanted to take pictures with them. The farm's caretaker informed them that they could ride the horses for a fee, and Suhaimi believed the area designated for interacting with the horses was safe.
After the ride, the family was called to take a photo with a horse. Suhaimi's son excitedly approached the fenced-in stable area and asked for pictures and videos. Suddenly, a nearby horse bit his earlobe, severing it. Simultaneously, the horse headbutted the child, causing his head to strike the metal fence and resulting in another injury. Suhaimi immediately rushed his son to a private hospital for emergency treatment. A representative from the agro farm contacted them shortly after the incident and offered apologies and promised compensation. Suhaimi's son underwent surgery that same night, which concluded at 1 am. He was discharged from the hospital after three days. However, despite the farm's initial promises, Suhaimi claims they have yet to provide any financial compensation. He states that he has attempted to contact the owner, but communication has been limited to WhatsApp. Suhaimi has consulted a lawyer and aims to seek RM5,000 in compensation from the agro farm. He is disappointed with the farm's lack of action and expresses concern about their lack of accountability for the incident. While his son's earlobe was successfully reattached, he remains traumatized by the experience
