Gamuda subsidiary secures RM3.12B solar project contracts in Australia

Gamuda Bhd’s Australian subsidiary, DT Infrastructure, has secured engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts worth A$1.1 billion (approximately RM3.12 billion) for the Smoky Creek and Guthrie’s Gap solar power stations.

KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd’s wholly-owned Australia n subsidiary, DT Infrastructure, has secured two engineering, procurement, and construction contracts worth A$1.1 billion for the delivery of the Smoky Creek and Guthrie’s Gap solar power stations .

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the developer said the Smoky Creek solar power station project contract, valued at AU$550 million , was entered into with Smoky Creek Solar Power Station Pty Ltd. Meanwhile, the EPC contract for the Guthrie’s Gap solar power station project, worth A$550 million , was entered into with Guthrie’s Gap Solar Power Station Pty Ltd. “DT Infrastructure will deliver EPC services for the Smoky Creek and Guthrie’s Gap solar power stations, including design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar generation, battery energy storage systems, and associated balance of plant infrastructure.

“DT Infrastructure will also provide ongoing operations and maintenance services for both assets following completion, supporting long-term asset performance and reliability,” it said. Both contracts will be completed in 30 months. Gamuda said the projects are expected to contribute positively to group revenue and earnings for the financial year ending July 31, 2026 onwards, until their completion.
